In celebration of 20 years of shaping African entertainment and youth culture, MTV Base is set to launch a brand-new season of its hit reality series, Inside Life, with a fresh theme titled The Hustle Diaries. Premiering on 4 September at 20:30 WAT, this season promises to be the most inspiring yet, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the grit and determination that fuels some of Africa’s top stars.
Hosted by MTV Base Culture Squad’s Ilooise “Ilowitdflo” Omonhinmin, The Hustle Diaries dives into the personal journeys of an all-star cast including singer-songwriter Spyro, producer and songwriter Cobhams Asuquo, media personality BamBam, actor Neo Akpofure, and more. Through six emotionally charged episodes, the series reveals the raw realities of fame—showcasing the dreams, setbacks, and resilience that define true greatness.
“This season is about going deeper,” said Busola Komolafe, Senior Channels Manager at Paramount. “We’re not just celebrating success—we’re honouring the road it took to get there. The Hustle Diaries highlights the courage, persistence, and passion that embody the African spirit and inspire a new generation.”
Host Ilo shared similar sentiments, saying, “This is not your regular reality show. Viewers will get to see the untold stories—the struggles and sacrifices that shaped these stars. It’s honest, it’s emotional, and it’s incredibly motivating.”
The show will air on MTV Base (DStv Channel 322, GOtv Channel 72), with repeat broadcasts on Saturdays at 20:00 WAT, Sundays at 18:00 WAT, and Wednesdays at 11:00 WAT.
