Defending champions South Africa have booked a blockbuster semifinal date with Nigeria’s Super Falcons after overcoming Senegal 4-1 on penalties in a dramatic quarterfinal clash at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) on Saturday night.

The Super Falcons, who are chasing a record-extending 10th WAFCON title under the campaign theme Mission X, breezed past Zambia with an emphatic 5-0 victory in their quarterfinal on Friday, maintaining their perfect defensive record.
